Baby Schopen #2

So today I had my first doctors appointment for the baby.

Everything went well and my due date as of now is July 16th 2009!

Our Newest Addition

So last Tuesday we found out we are expecting our second baby come either June or July 2009 we will find out more information in a few weeks when we head to the doctors for an ultra-sound! But for now we confirmed the pregnancy with our family doctor today, and hopefully will have me transfered to an obgyn next week or so.

We are very excited but also a little bummed for Kevin will be on deployment when the baby is born but at least he will be home when the little one is three to four months old to about a year in a half, so he or she will remember their daddy the next deployment he goes on!!! Yeah!
I will keep the blog updated and hopefully soon have an ultra-sound to share!!

Heading to work for Daddy!!

The other day it was too cute and thank goodness I had my camera handy. Kevin got home that day and Katelyn like everyday was all about daddy!! Kevin then proceeded to take off his boots like normal and relax, but today Katelyn decided she was going to go to work in daddy's boots!! It was adorable she kept putting her legs in and out of the boots.

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween was a blast this year, we decided to spend the day at Marci's house making halloween cookies and cupcakes then after we went trick or treating!! It was great we had a group of little animals a monster and a pumkin!! All too cute! Us wives would take the kids up to the door and the guys used my jogging stroller as a beer holder!! Men!!lol

So a few weeks ago when the weather was in the 90's we decided to head to the big blue ocean!! It was super fun. We went with a wife of a friends of Kevin's her name is Marci and her daughter whom is 9 months (Victoria). The girls loved the ocean playing in the sand eating the sand yuck!! But they just enjoyed every minute of it well at least until it was nap time!! are a few photos from that day!

The Military Move!!

So the last few months have been a scatter to get things done and find out where we were going to move! Well Kevin got his orders August 15 to Camp Lejeune North Carolina, to report no later than the 10th of September so our journy begun! We left Friday the 28th(I believe) around 8pm driving 24 hours and arriving in Cheyenne Wyoming, we stayed for two nights and were off again we arrived in Underwood Iowa around 6pm stopped to have dinner with some friends we know from the military, then around 9pm we proceeded to Jefferson Wisconsin where we drove all night and arrived at 5am that next morning!! It was a super long quick couple of days and Katelyn had had it! So we stayed in Wisconsin with his parents for 5 days and then we were off again to wonderful North Carolina! we arrived two days later!! Taking our time was nice!!! Well at least the last two days!! So now we are settled in Sneads Ferry North Carolina about 5 minutes from the back gate of Camp Lejeune. So far things are going well the ocean is absoulty beautiful and super warm we will probably be heading there tonight for a dip!! I will try to add some pics of our visit in wisconsin and hopefully after this weekend have some of the house and the ocean views!! So here we go again round 2 for 4 more years who knows he might make it a career now so i better get used to the moves!!!lol

A year ago today was quite the wonder!! At 11:48am my daughter Katelyn Rose came into this world!! And now today she is one years old!! Wow I can't believe it!! Were has the time gone!! 4th Of July Cake!!

So I have been reading about cakes and looking around and when I was needed to bring a cake to our 4th Of July Party I was too excited!! Anyways here is what came out! There are a few mistakes which I figured and it wasnt made from scratch since I didn't have the time but I will make Katelyn's B-day cake from scratch! Anyways tell me what you think!

Marine Corp.

So as you may have read my Husband was enlisted in the USMC for 4 years. He enjoyed his job and role while he was in the USMC so much that he has decided he is going to re-enlist not only to help support our family but for the love of his job! So due to this we are probably heading back down to the desert come the next three months! I am a little nervous for more deployments although my in-laws have offered to let me stay with them while he is overseas rent free! Very kind of them!! Well I will keep everyone updated! 29 Palms here we come!!

Trip to Grandma's!!!

So last week Katelyn and I headed down to San diego to visit my mom, and boy did we have a blast!! My mom just couldnt get enough of Katelyn and we just enjoyed spending as much time with her as we could! Katelyn loved Grandma Sullivan she took to her the first day and played with her even while i took a nap which was way over due!! It was so nice! Anyways here are some quick pictures of the wonderful time we had!! Can't wait for Grandma to come visit in Novemeber!! Yeah!!

Ok Megan :-) i dropped another 2 lbs so a total of 10lbs so far in two weeks! hopefully I can drop some more weight this week! But my jeans are really loose and i feel great! Next weigh in on Friday hope for the best!!

Nutrisystem!

So for my birthday my mother bought me 5 weeks of nutrisystem! So i have been on it for a week and have lost 8lbs so exciting i have been bouncing back and fourth these 10lbs for forever but i think it is finally going and i am going to get back to prebaby body! Its not easy though the food is really good but the portions are a lot smaller than what i normally eat so its a little hard! Also i have to drink lots and lots of water but since ihave been drinking so much water i have notice how much better i feel overall!! Anyways i am super excited about this and will update this every week!!!

So although it took me forever to warm up to having a dog and take care of it plus a newborn, I think I am finally happy with her! Since day one she has been so good with Katelyn and never once has acted out against her! So thats one good thing! But lately since katelyn has been laying on the grown ,learning to crawl and sitting up she has been so good and loving on katelyn, here are a few pics. of them together! Its too funny! Even my husband gets on the floors and plays with both of them! How funny!

First Trip to the ZOO!!!!

So Katelyn and I spent a week in Iowa with my good friends Tami and Trent! We had a great time visiting them and while we were there we went to the zoo in Omaha! This was the best zoo i have ever been too!! I was soo big we didnt even finish looking at everything! I cant wait to go back! Anyways here are some pics. from the zoo-filled day!

So if your ever in Omaha Nebraska hit up the Zoo it was awsome! Oh and you can bring your own lunch in that way you dont have to pay an arm and leg for lunch! But they still look through your bags for safety reason but they are so nice!! Best zoo EVER!!!

The Man of my Life I Lost!

Today was just another day in time which will soon be lost and we continue on like it was nothing! Although today was a different day for me, it was yet another day I feel lost without the Dad I love and miss everyday! For I look at Katelyn and only wish he could of saw her smile, the smile i see every morning when i pick her up out of her crib! I miss him so much though everyday I wish he was here i remember him as the great father, friend and wonderful man he was! To you dad, I love you and will miss you everyday until we meet again!

Katelyn is getting so big its amazing everyday i see her she does something new! She is such a gift from God and I try to Thank him everyday for her! Support Our Troops!

So I understand everyone is intitled to their opinion but come on, this is getting out of hand! The WAR is WAR not everyone is going to agree with it, there is always going to a President who lies, (hell we are human although no one person likes to lie we make mistakes and lie) the governement will do something or vote on something that you dont like, so on and so forth it is going to happen we can not make everyone happy in America! But this just irritates me so much when people post these things ! You dont have to support the war or the president or the governement but people who go out and fight for not only our freedom but for our boyfriends husbands and young boys whom dont choose to go that route(which by all means i think is ok)! If people like my husband and his friends didnt want to join for a certain reasons there would have been a draft and then those men wouldnt have had a choice! Please SUPPORT YOUR TROOPS! They are just doing their job, what they were taught to do! And if you hate America so much then move somewhere else!

So today was an exciting day for little miss Katelyn! She finally rolled over on her own (about time) but it was very funny! I layed her on her stomach in the livingroom and went into the kitchen to start some dishes when i went to check on her she was on her back!
