IT'S A BOY

So last Tuesday we found out we are having a boy! My hubby is so excited, he was grinning ear to ear! Plus he gets his boy to pass down the Schopen name since he was the last Schopen boy! Well we are super excited and can't wait till he arrives in July!

Besides that life has been super busy, I can't seem to keep up with life and being a student but somehow manage because I want to prove to myself I can do it! Well I am off to more homework then to bed for another exciting full day ahead of me!

P.S. isn't it funny how we love to advertise our childrens sex organ before they are even born, and how proud a daddy can be to see that little penis! lol

Wedding fun

So tonight I was thinking about how crazy and fun our Vegas wedding was! So i thought I would share a picture! Plus i think it keeps me happy and not sad that he is gone again and then only to come home and leave in May for 7 long months blah! But its the military I need to get use to it again!!!

When life brings you down!

So today and yesterday were some hard days it seems like when my husband leaves the world wants to break off pieces of my limbs and feed them to the freakin dragons! Goodness! Thankfully God always seems to give me my limbs back and help me through the hard times. But wow today it was all my might not to listen to hardcore music and drink! Lol granite I could never do that to my child but dang I am telling you if it weren't for the heavenly father up there helping me out and giving me some strength to keep going, I know my unborn child would now be a very good wine countersuer! That's all now I need some sleep! Till tomorrow! Nightie Night!



P.S. Ten months down the road I am realying on you Megan to send me some good Two buck chuck from Trader Joes to help me through two children my mother in law and a deployment!! lol For wine sometimes does do the trick!!

What Determines Success!

So my girlfriend posted this today and I couldn't help but laugh my butt off! She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and had to repost such a great realiztion!

Psych Prof: "What characteristics can we look at and operationalize to determine how successful a person 'could' be...?"

Class: "IQ Score...Educational Level...Socio-economic background..."

Psych Prof: "True.Anything else? Do you think height can determine success? In other words, is there a positive correlation between success and height???"

Class: "...NO?"

Psych Prof: "Wrong! Studies have shown that an increase in height positively correlates with increased success! Crazy Isn't it!?! Sorry short people!"

Shannon: "...Shit."

So it starts!

My morning routine is very simple! I get up brush my teeth, pee ( of course this pregnant woman is always peeing:-) then proceed to my daughters room to get her out of her "prison" crib and then get her some breakfast! Then normally I put a show on for her and come check my hotmail, myspace(since I am officially addicted) and most likely all my friends blogs. And I always look forward to reading my girlfriends blog and how she is kept very busy everyday with her little munchkins!!;-) Normally I laugh my butt off everytime reading something hilarious that her children have done or gotten into, thanking my lucky stars my child seems to want no interest in doing any of that! Well I was wrong, and this morning after my computer addiction, I decided to feed the dog, and jump in the shower while my daughter enjoyed some morning Disney channel! To my surprise this is what I found when I came out of the shower....

Now not too bad nothing a broom couldn't pick up easily, but the icing she had about 6 pieces in her mouth and within my 10 minute shower who knows how many she may have consumed! Yuck, granite the bag does say nutritious! Then just as I sweep up all of it, put the dog bowl on the counter so she can't reach it, went into my bathroom and grabbed my robe, only to come out finding her in the dog water bowl, dipping her apple jacks and eating them! Yummm!! How I missed the water bowl before leaving, my mind escapes me, but gosh I think this might be only the beginning of something to come, for the so called Terrible Two are vastly approaching fast!!!

YIKES!!!

Baby Schopen #2

So today I had my first doctors appointment for the baby.

Everything went well and my due date as of now is July 16th 2009!

Our Newest Addition

So last Tuesday we found out we are expecting our second baby come either June or July 2009 we will find out more information in a few weeks when we head to the doctors for an ultra-sound! But for now we confirmed the pregnancy with our family doctor today, and hopefully will have me transfered to an obgyn next week or so.

We are very excited but also a little bummed for Kevin will be on deployment when the baby is born but at least he will be home when the little one is three to four months old to about a year in a half, so he or she will remember their daddy the next deployment he goes on!!! Yeah!
I will keep the blog updated and hopefully soon have an ultra-sound to share!!
